On June 30, 2022, Omori acquired additional shares of our North American subsidiary, Omori North America (“ONA” hereinafter), through a special purpose company (SPC) in collaboration with the Development Bank of Japan and the Tokyo Small and Medium Business Investment & Consultation Co., Ltd. This stock acquisition was made based on the retirement wishes of Mr. and Mrs. Cooney, founder of ONA and its predecessor B.W. Cooney & Associates Inc., who served for many years as the CEO and CFO of ONA.
Following the retirement of Mr. and Mrs. Cooney, the organization structure will be reformed and the company will pursue further digital transformation. The logo will also be redesigned to further strengthen the North American business activities of Omori Machinery.
