Happy New Year!
Last year, the Noto Peninsula experienced a major earthquake and severe flooding, and for the first time, a special advisory for the Nankai Trough was issued. Additionally, abnormal weather patterns affected many agricultural crops. These numerous disasters and extreme weather events made us keenly aware of the imminent threat posed by global warming and climate change. It was a year that reaffirmed the critical importance of addressing environmental issues in our “packaging” business, as well as in the businesses of our customers, partners, and all aspects of our operations.
On a personal note, I was honored to receive the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon, during the autumn honors event last year. Continuing my father’s vision as the founder of the Japan Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association, I served as its fifth president from 2013 to 2024, dedicating myself to the development of the entire industry. 2024 was a deeply memorable year for me, as my longstanding commitment to the advancement of the packaging industry was recognized and materialized into this great honor. I owe this achievement to all of my colleagues who shared the same aspirations and worked tirelessly alongside me. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you.
As a company, we feel that the initiatives we have undertaken in recent years are gradually taking shape. To ensure these efforts bear meaningful fruit, we will continue to work as one team, making constant improvements through trial and error. We humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.
